Article Publication Fee

Development Nursing Research (DNR) is a fully open-access journal dedicated to advancing nursing research across clinical, educational, and policy domains. To sustain the costs of rigorous peer review coordination, professional copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, digital archiving, and perpetual online hosting, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable upon acceptance of a manuscript.

No charges are applied at the point of submission. Authors are only invoiced following a final decision of acceptance.

Domestic Authors (Indonesia) IDR 170,000 per article

International Authors USD 15 per article

The applicable APC is determined by the institutional affiliation of the corresponding author at the time of submission.

DNR has no collaboration or affiliation with any third party claiming to offer guaranteed publication. Payments are only considered valid if made based on an official APC issued through the journal’s email developmentnursingresearch@gmail.com

Official information regarding payments and publisher communication is provided solely through the journal’s official email and/or the publisher’s official WhatsApp number (+62 85227923852).

Any payment requests made outside these procedures fall beyond our responsibility; all such transactions are undertaken at the individual’s own risk, and the publisher is not obliged to refund any funds transferred without an official APC.

What the APC Covers

Payment of the APC entitles authors to the following services:

  • Double-blind peer review coordination and editorial management
  • Professional copyediting and language polishing
  • XML and PDF typesetting to publication standard
  • Perpetual open-access hosting on the journal platform
  • Indexing submission support 
  • Archiving and long-term digital preservation

Payment Process

Authors will be contacted by the Editorial Office with an invoice following final acceptance of their manuscript. Payment must be completed before the article proceeds to the production and publication stage. The journal accepts payment via bank transfer. Full payment details will be provided in the invoice notification email.

Waiver and Discount Policy

Development Nursing Research (DNR) is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not constitute a barrier to the dissemination of nursing scholarship. Authors from low- or middle-income countries (LMICs), as classified by the World Bank, or those experiencing genuine financial hardship, may apply for a full or partial APC waiver prior to submission.

To apply for a waiver, authors should:

  1. Submit a waiver request to the Editorial Office before submitting their manuscript
  2. Provide a brief written justification and, where applicable, supporting institutional documentation
  3. Await written confirmation from the Editor-in-Chief before proceeding with submission

Waiver requests will not influence the editorial decision-making process in any way. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on scientific merit and methodological rigour.

Important Notes

  • APC invoices are non-refundable once the article has entered the production stage.
  • Authors whose manuscripts are rejected at any stage are not charged any fee.
  • Authors are encouraged to verify their institution's APC reimbursement policy prior to submission.
